Chicken 65 is usually made with boneless breast piece of chicken. Even though it is a most popular and commonly available dish, the ingredients used to make the this dish varies.
ABOUT THE RECIPE:
This recipe is my way of making chicken 65. I have tried various recipes, but this is the one recipe, where I got the perfect crispy outer. I have been making this recipe, since I was in High School. It is one of my favourite starter. Not just me, but my whole family loves it. It is really easy to make.
INGREDIENTS:
- BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST – 500 GMS
Wash and cut the chicken into small cubes.

- CHILLY POWDER – 2 TBSP
- GARAM MASALA – 1/2 TBSP
- SALT – AS REQUIRED
- CORN STARCH – 1.5 TBSP
- GINGER GARLIC PASTE – 1 TBSP
- LEMON JUICE – 1 NO.
- EGG WHITE – 1 NO.
- OIL – FOR FRYING

FOR GARNISHING:
- GREEN CHILLIES – 3 NOS.
- CURRY LEAVES – 10 NOS.

HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN 65:
- In a mixing bowl, add chicken, chilly powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, salt, cornstarch, lemon juice and egg white.

- Mix everything, close it with a lid, and keep it in the freezer for at least 2 hours.

- After 2 hours, heat oil in a wok/kadai, and drop one piece at a time to the oil.

- Do not turn the chicken immediately. Let it cook for 2 minutes, and then turn it. Fry it, until it turns crispy on the outer.

- Slit the green chillies, and fry them along with curry leaves.
- Garnish it on chicken 65, and serve it with a slice of lemon.

YUMMY, CRISPY AND DELICIOUS CHICKEN 65 IS READY.
I HAD MY CHICKEN 65 AS A STARTER, WITH MY MUTTON SOUP.

VARIATIONS:
- If you find it too spicy, you can reduce the amount of chilly powder.
- Usually food color, is added in this recipe to give the bright red color, but i haven’t used any, since it’s not good for your body.
- You can add kashmiri chilli powder instead of food color, if you want the bright red color.
- Instead of chicken, you can also add paneer or tofu.
