It is served in small bowls or leaf plates, and is a classic example of vibrant chaat culture. Chole chaat is a protein-rich, tangy and spicy chickpea snack that’s filling and flavorful.
ABOUT THE RECIPE:
Plain boiled chickpeas are commonly used for this recipe. But, I’ve replaced it with ALOO CHOLE for this recipe. Using aloo chole instead of plain boiled chickpeas enhances the taste and flavour of the recipe.
Sev is usually added as a topping to give the crunchy texture to it. But, it can be also be topped with crispy puris, papdi or even yogurt for extra flavour and texture.
INGREDIENTS FOR CHOLE CHAAT (FOR SINGLE SERVING):
- ALOO CHOLE – 1 CUP
- ONION (DICED) – 3 TBSP
- CORIANDER LEAVES (CHOPPED) – 2 TBSP
- TAMARIND DATE CHUTNEY – 2 TBSP
- GREEN CHUTNEY – 2 TBSP
- CUMIN POWDER – 1/2 TSP
- CHAAT MASALA – 1/2 TSP
- SEV – 2 TBSP

HOW TO MAKE CHOLE CHAAT:
- Add 1 cup of ALOO CHOLE to a bowl.

- Add 2 tbsp of tamarind date chutney and green chutney to it.

- Then sprinkle 1/2 tsp of cumin powder and chaat masala to it.

- Garnish it with diced onions, chopped coriander and sev.

YUMMY AND DELICIOUS CHOLE CHAAT IS READY. SERVE IT IMMEDIATELY.
