BUTTER GARLIC MUSHROOM

Butter garlic mushroom is a non spicy dish. It has a rich buttery taste to it. It goes really well with any pulao, jeera rice or any Indian breads. Butter, white button mushroom and garlic are the main ingredient of this recipe. The mushrooms are sauteed with butter, garlic and few other spices.
ABOUT THE RECIPE:
This is one of my favourite recipe with mushrooms. JEERA RICE with butter garlic mushroom is my favourite combination. It has a rich taste and flavour to it. Also, it is a really quick recipe for a busy day.
This is the recipe that I usually make at home. Generally, herbs are added to this recipe. But, the flavour of the herbs added dominates, and subsides the flavour of garlic. Since I love the flavour of butter and garlic, I usually don’t add any kind of herbs to it.
INGREDIENTS FOR BUTTER GARLIC MUSHROOM:
- MUSHROOM – 500 GMS
- UNSALTED BUTTER – 2 TBSP
- ONION (MEDIUM SIZE/FINELY CHOPPED) – 1 NO.
- GARLIC (FINELY CHOPPED) – 10 NOS.
- CHILLY FLAKES – 1 TSP
- PEPPER POWDER – 1/2 TSP
- SALT – AS REQUIRED.
- CORIANDER LEAVES – FOR GARNISHING

HOW TO MAKE BUTTER GARLIC MUSHROOM:
- Wash and cut the mushroom. Soak the mushrooms in water until you start to cook.

- Heat a pan, and add 2 tbsp of unsalted butter to it.

- Once the butter starts to melt, add the finely chopped garlic to it.

- Also, add the finely chopped onions to it. Saute it for 2 to 3 minutes or until the onions turn translucent.

- Once the onions turn translucent, add the 1 tsp of chilly flakes, 1/2 tsp of pepper powder and salt to it.

- Mix them well, and add the mushrooms to it.

- Mix it, and cover it with a lid. The mushroom ooze out water. Let it cook on medium-high flame until the water gets evaporated. It takes around 5 minutes.

- Once all the water gets evaporated, open the lid. Turn the flame to medium-low, and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.

- After 2 to 3 minutes, garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame.

YUMMY AND DELICIOUS BUTTER GARLIC MUSHROOM IS READY.

SERVE IT WITH PULAO, JEERA RICE OR ANY INDIAN BREADS.
I HAD MY BUTTER GARLIC MUSHROOM WITH JEERA RICE.

VARIATIONS:
- Adding chilly flakes is optional.
- 1 tsp of mixed herbs can also be added to the recipe.
- Salted or unsalted butter can be used. It you use salted butter, reduce the amount of salt added.
