ROSE MILK

Rose milk is a most popular drink during my childhood. It was probably the only drink that we have, during those days. Rose milk is kind of an emotion for 80’s and 90’s kids.

It is made with really simple ingredients but, it is full of flavours and is also, so refreshing. It is available everywhere in recent times. Also the rose milk is modified and, made according to one’s preference.

The original rose milk is made by mixing rose essence, chilled milk and sugar. It is also served with vanilla ice cream, and can also be made into rose milkshake or rose milk popsicle.

ABOUT THE RECIPE:

In this recipe, I’ve used homemade rose syrup. Rose syrup / Rose milk essence is available in any store. Store bought rose syrup / rose milk essence can also be used, instead of homemade rose syrup.

ROSE SYRUP: – Rose syrup is made by adding food color and rose flavour to sugar syrup. Adding sugar is not necessary for the recipe, that is been made with sugar syrup.

ROSE MILK ESSENCE:- Rose milk essence is actually rose white essence, with added pink food color to it. It doesn’t have any sugar added to it.

I’ve included the recipe of rose milk and rose milkshake in this blog, since both are really similar and, easy to make. Rose milkshake is made by adding 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream to the rose milk.

INGREDIENTS FOR ROSE MILK:

  • CHILLED MILK – 1 CUP
  • ROSE SYRUP – 4 TBSP

HOW TO MAKE ROSE MILK:

  • Add 1 cup of chilled milk to the blender.
  • Add 3 – 4 tbsp of rose syrup to the milk, in the blender.
  • Blend it for 10 to 15 seconds.

YUMMY ROSE MILK IS READY.

INGREDIENTS FOR ROSE MILKSHAKE:

  • CHILLED MILK – 1 CUP
  • ROSE SYRUP – 4 TBSP
  • VANILLA ICE CREAM – 2 LARGE SCOOPS

HOW TO MAKE ROSE MILKSHAKE:

  • To the blender, add 1 cup of chilled milk, 3 – 4 tbsp of rose syrup and 2 large scoops of vanilla ice cream.
  • Blend it for 20 – 25 seconds. Blend it on a high speed, so that the ice cream blends easily.

YUMMY AND DELICIOUS ROSE MILKSHAKE IS READY.

SERVE IT WITH A SCOOP OF VANILLA ICE CREAM ON TOP.

VARIATIONS:

  • Adjust the rose syrup according to your taste.
  • Store bought rose syrup can also be used, instead of homemade rose syrup.
